For few weeks, the main character Francesca, and her alternative Kessa kept dieting harshly. Her ballet teacher has realized how Francesca has been pushing herself to go on diet and practice hard to improve, she offered Francesca to attend the audition for special summer program to foreign country.
On the other hand, her mother starts to question why Francesca doesn't come out from her room and saying not hungry all the time. One day, when she went into Francesca's room, she finally realized Francesca was dieting so much that she now looks like a skelton. So, she took Francesca to the doctor and doctor reminded Francesca had to stop dieting, but since Francesca had bocome anoexic, she couldn't stop herself from dieting.
I don't think most family doctors have much training in how to treat anorexia. Of course, just to say "start eating properly" or "stop forcing yourself to throw up" aren't effective. It takes a much more intensive approach, as I'm sure you'll be reading about in upcoming sections of the book. It sounds interesting.
